Introduction - What became of my dreams

Introduction
What this website is all about
Dream and Reality: an age-old theme into which I bring my own experiences in very different areas (Kafka, Japan, religion, the Stone Age).
The result is a colourful mosaic, but in retrospect - often surprising - connections appear and reveal profound human experiences and insights that fascinate again and again and where one is sometimes even inclined to use terms like wisdom or mystery.
It was experiences in Japan that gave me a completely new approach to Kafka and, conversely, Kafka's texts led me to a deeper understanding of some phenomena in Japan. (Which at the same time gives an idea of the immense breadth and depth of Kafka's insights into the human psyche, his "dreamlike inner life").
Japan is often stylised and dreamed of as a counter-world to Europe. Yet Japanese reality is much more complex, fascinating and often even more wonderful than such dreams - if one does not allow prejudices to obscure one's view of it. There are even almost unbelievable similarities, such as in religion the "founder" of the largest Buddhist school in Japan, Shinran, who - in a Buddhist context! - who - in a Buddhist context - emphasised salvation through faith alone even before Luther, thus enabling people in Japan to this day to have a new experience of personal freedom.
A special chapter are my Stone Age dreams, which developed from mostly accidental finds of strangely shaped stones and continue to fascinate me, although I am still not sure where the boundary between fantasy and reality lies.
I would like to present these and similar topics here bit by bit and reflect on them with anyone who is interested.
