Reading Kafka [further texts planned]

Here an attempt will be made to present important Kafka texts by quoting them section by section and adding notes, interpretations and suggestions in order to allow a continuous reading of his texts. [For the texts see: Kafka, Texts.] English translation added (in blue).

Kafka's texts are printed in Kafka's handwriting in order to be visually closer to the original.

[Since some characters are missing in Kafka's handwriting, the following changes had to be made: ß -> ss, ÄÖÜ -> AOU; numbers and special characters remain in the original typeface].
